Frederick Place

Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing was established as a Wisconsin corporation on August 14, 2009, and is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 

NATH is committed to ending and preventing homelessness. The corporation exists to provide safe housing and basic needs to families and individuals who are homeless (unhoused), in an atmosphere of encouragement, respect, dignity and hope, while nurturing and promoting self-sufficiency and independence.

NATH promotes public awareness of homelessness (unhoused) by partnering with Northwood’s resource agencies and by educating the communities in our service area. NATH’s service area includes Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas Counties. 

Frederick Place, NATH's brick & mortar homeless shelter, has established cooperative working relationships with community partners through a regional continuum of care via outreach to faith-based communities, social service agencies, educational institutions, health care facilities, local law enforcement and other human service organizations. Partnering resources share collaborative information in order to minimize duplication of services while assisting Frederick Place residents (guests) in working toward independent employment and housing goals.
